Offline Pledges
How do I?
•  Add a Donor?
•  Remove a Donor?
•  Edit a Donor?
•  Pay with my credit card for donations that I have received in cash?
Add a Donor?
Fill in the Donor contact information fields in the Add/Edit Donors section of the Enter Offline Pledges page (please provide complete information where possible). If you do not have the Donor’s e-mail address you can click on the Check Box beside “Send the e-Tax Receipt to my email and I’ll forward it to the Donor ” and your e-mail address will automatically appear in the E-mail field.

Once added the Donor’s information will appear in the Your Offline Pledge Donors table. Repeat these steps to add subsequent Donors.

Note: Should you want to pay with your credit card for donations that you have received in cash then the Donor’s address information is required for tax receipting purposes.
Remove a Donor?
Click the Remove link associated with a particular Donor within the Offline Pledge Donors table to remove the Donor.

Note: Only offline pledges that are pending approval can be removed. Confirmed offline pledges cannot be removed by the Participant as the money has already been processed by the Organization.
Edit a Donor?
1.  Click the Edit link associated with a particular Donor within the Offline Pledge Donors table to have their existing Donor information appear in Add/Edit Donors fields.
2.  To Edit, simply overwrite the Donor information in the Add/Edit Donors fields.
3.  Once modified, click the Update button to save these changes to the Donor information.
Pay with my credit card for donations that I have received in cash?
Note: Before paying with a credit card, you need to enter the Donor’s address information in the fields in the Add/Edit Donors section. Once the Donor has been added and appears in the Offline Pledge Donors table at the bottom of the page:

1.  Click the check box(es) in the Select column of the Offline Pledge Donors table to select the donation(s) that you would like to pay by credit card (i.e. Donors who paid you in cash/cheque).
2.  Click the Pay by Credit Card button.
3.  Enter your credit card information (this is a secure area of the site).
4.  Click the Process button.
5.  If tax receipting is enabled by the organization, an e-Tax Receipt will be issued in the Donors name and sent to their e–mail address. If you had entered your e-mail address instead of the Donors e-mail address, the e-Tax Receipt will still be issued in their name, however, it will be forwarded to your e-mail. Please be sure to forward the e-Tax Receipt directly to the Donor.
6.  If the transaction was successful, the Donation will now be a confirmed donation and the donor will be removed from your Offline Pledges Donor Table. Your Fundraising Thermometer and Donation History will be updated to include the donation.
