Address Book
How do I?

Get my contact into the Address Book?

You have 3 options for getting your contacts into the Address Book. You can:

1.  Add From Address Book – use Cloudsponge technology to import contacts directly from your email tool
2.  Manually Add Contacts – type in First Name, Last Name and email Address individually
3.  Import Contacts – export your contacts from your email program into a CSV file and upload the file onto raisin
Add contacts into the Address Book directly from my email account?

You can use Cloudsponge technology to import contacts directly from your email account.

1.  Click Address Book from the Participant Centre menu to go to the Address Book overview page.
2.  Click ADD FROM MY ADDRESS BOOK.
3.  Select the program or service that you use to keep your contacts: Yahoo, Gmail, Windows Live Hotmail MSN, AOL, Plaxo, or Outlook.
4.  Login to your account.
5.  Select the contacts that you want to add.
6.  Select Next.
7.  Select Done.
Manually add contacts to my Address Book?
1.  Click Address Book from the Participant Centre menu to go to the Address Book overview page.
2.  Click Add Contacts.
3.  Fill in details for each contact using the form provided.
4.  Click Save to add contacts to your Address Book.
5.  Click Save and Continue Adding, if you would like to add more contacts after you have used up the available form fields.
Import contacts into the Address Book?
1.  Export the contacts from your e-mail program and Save to your desktop. *
2.  Go to the Participant Centre and click Address Book.
3.  Click Import Contacts.
4.  Select your e-mail application for the list you are importing.
5.  Browse to the mycontacts.csv file on your desktop.
6.  Click Upload Contacts.
7.  The contacts will appear in the Address Book Contacts Table.

Export contacts from?

Export contacts from another e-mail program?

To export a contact list from an e-mail program other than MS Outlook/Exchange/Outlook Express, Yahoo! or Gmail:

1.  Export your contact file from the e-mail program (see the help section of your E-mail program for instructions on how to export your Contact as a .CSV file (Comma Separated Values).
2.  Save the file to your desktop and name the file mycontacts.csv.
3.  If required, rename the Column headers so they are listed as: First Name, Last Name, E-mail Address, Home Phone, Business Phone, Mobile Phone. E-mail address is the only required data field.
4.  Import the file into the system and select “other” as the e-mail program that you are exporting from.

Alternative Column Header Option:
If the format of the import file requires a fair amount of work to align it with the column headers provided above, rename the column headers to match the requirements for Yahoo! or Gmail (whichever is easiest to match based on your export) and import the file as if it was exported from Yahoo! or Gmail. The following column headers will be accepted by the system for a Yahoo! or Gmail export file.

Edit contact details?
1.  Click Address Book from the Participant Centre.
2.  Search for the contact to edit by Name or e-mail.
3.  Click Edit in the corresponding Action column for that contact in the Search Results table.
4.  To edit, simply fill in the new information in the Edit Contact form and click Save.
Export contacts from the Address Book?
1.  Click Address Book from the Participant Centre
2.  Click on the Export List button at the bottom of the Address Book page and a tab-delimited .CSV file containing the current contacts will be launched.
3.  Click Open to view this information or click Save to save this file to your computer.
Send e-mail to contacts in my Address Book?
Click E-mail All Contacts to send an e-mail to everyone in your address book.

Or

To E-mail a subset of contacts:
1.  Click the Check Box beside the User’s Name.
2.  Click E-mail Selected Contacts (you will be re-directed to the E-mail Centre).
3.  Select a Sample E-mail (an e-mail box will open).
4.  Modify the message.
5.  Preview the message.
6.  Click Send E-mail Now or Save E-mail for future use.
