I can’t import my contact list?
1.  E-mail address is a required field. Open the Contacts file and ensure there is an e-mail address for all contacts in the file.
2.  The file is not saved as .CSV. Try re-saving the file as .CSV.
3.  The contact list is from an e-mail program that we don’t provide a direct import from. Please see additional instructions.
What happens if I don’t put the First Name and Last Name in for a contact?
Often times, the e-mails use “Merge Fields” in order to automatically personalize your e-mail and to allow you to send many at once. If the e-mail has a merge field such as Dear [%ContactFirstName%], and your contact doesn’t have a first name, the e-mail will be addressed “Dear ,”. To avoid this, ensure that all your contacts have a First Name and Last Name, or remove the merge field when sending e-mails to contacts without those details.
Who appears as the sender of the e-mail?
As the Participant, your name and e-mail will appear as the sender. Please confirm your name and e-mail information under Edit Profile prior to sending out messages. Edit Profile is accessible via your Participant Centre Home page.
How is the data used by the charitable Organization?
The Address Book is private and only accessible to you. Contacts will not be shared with the Organization or any other third party. Contacts within your Address Book will not receive any unsolicited e-mails or spam. Please see the Organization’s Privacy Policy to better understand how Donor information is used.
What is the maximum number of contacts that can be imported into my address book?
Typically, a maximum of 1000 contacts can be imported or manually added to your Address Book (number may vary by organization). However, the addresses of unsolicited Donors, Team Members, and contacts whose offline pledges you enter and who are not originally in your Address Book, are automatically added in excess of the 1000 limit.
Why is the e-mail address in Address Book is different than the e-mail address in Donation History?
The e-mail Address in Address Book is entered by the participant, whereas Donation History reflects the e-mail address that was used to send the e-tax receipt (as entered by the Donor). Therefore, if you have modified an e-mail address in the Address Book after a donation has been made, it will not affect where the e-tax receipt is sent. If you notice a typo in a Donor’s e-mail address that may have prevented him/her from receiving their tax receipt, please ask the Donor to contact the Event Organizers (contact information is listed on the event site).
If I updated the e-mail address in Address Book will it affect where the e-Tax Receipt is sent?
The e-mail shown in the Address Book is used for outbound messages sent by the participant. If electronic tax receipting is enabled by the organization, the e-tax receipt is sent by them to the donor’s e-mail address as entered at time of donation.

Why is a contact listed multiple times?
If there are multiple e-mail addresses for a contact, the contact will be listed as separate contacts.
